| Just to add another fact for Internet consumption...
According to the <a href="http://www.finishdishwashing.com/product-all-in-1-finish-powerball-tabs.php">manufacturer</a>, FINISH dishwashing detergent has a shelf life of two years. After that, it will still work, but not as well.

Today, a Verizon rep knocked at my door. Verizon had canvassed my neighborhood many times before, but this time, the person did <b>NOT</b> expound on the virtues of FIOS.
Today, he had noted on his clipboard, that I was still a DSL customer. He wanted to let me know that DSL was obsolete, as was the copper wire delivering my telephone signal. Everything is going smoothly for a few days, when I suddenly discover a phantom disk drive has appeared in Windows Explorer. <b>Local Disk (Q:)</b>
<b>"DON'T PANIC"</b>, I screamed, as I remembered <b>"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"</b> advice.
A quick Google search revealed about 58000 entries on the subject. It seems that it is part of the new Microsoft Office Beta download.

| An interesting marketing idea used for the Shift3 USB Video Camera is to allow a potential customer to try out the camera before he buys it, taking a sample video right through its clear plastic blister packaging material. A neat trick, until the two installed “AA Alkaline demo batteries” run out of juice. After that, the store is left with a product that doesn't appear to work anymore. Well now...
Technician number 2 at Verizon told me <b>NOT</b> to use the Verizon Speed Test, as it is inaccurate. Hummmmm.
He likes <a href="http://www.speedtest.net/">Speedtest.net</a>
This test showed that my connection was up to par.
Also, during troubleshooting, we went onto my router page, and it also showed my correct upload and download speed.
Still more to come about Verizon's "In-Home Agent" Diagnostic software program...

| The aftermath of one of our recent storms left me (and the rest of the neighborhood) without phone and DSL Internet service. When the service was finally restored, I noticed that streaming video from YouTube and other sources continually needed to "catch its breath" and pause, while buffering additional content.
